Nel giorno dell’anti-anticristo
È il 999. Il giorno dell’anti-anticristo. Ed è quasi più simpatico del sei giugno di tre anni fa, il 666, giorno in cui è stato “rilasciato” l’IPv6 a livello mondiale.
È una giornata triste e grigia, lavoro ai soliti livelli, noia già arrivata dopo solo due giorni dal rientro… Se non fosse per Apple che si prepara (alle 19 ora locale) a fornare qualche novità durante il consueto Keynote previsto per oggi.
Ci si aspetta di tutto. Da un innovativo iTablet con Mac OSX, alla nuova serie di iPod/iPod Touch. Per questo secondo punto è complice anche il taglio di prezzi di questi prodotti comparsi sull’Apple Store prima della chiusura dello stesso e la messa in stato di manutenzione. Molto probabilmente una mossa mediatica della Mela che ha subito animato moltissimi siti e blog in tutto il mondo.
Ma il dubbio più grande, ancora non confermato è: ma zio Steve ci sarà almeno stavolta oppure darà buca e lo rivedremo tra qualche mese? Sul web anche questa notizia è molto controversa e ancora non trova conferme o smentite.
Chi vivrà vedrà …

I recently posted about a price comparison between European Apple Stores, and showing – or at least trying to show – how much Apple is gaining by selling overseas.
I will make use of the same fee percentage estimation computed in that very article. Based on this assumption, I tried to discover how much is the gain for three Apple main products: the new Apple TV, the new Mac Mini and the MacBook.

It seems almost clear to me that Apple is betting on iOS and it future. Almost exclusively on iOS, I would say. And at the same time the old Apple “core business” is being left behind. Slowly.

Everyone should know, by now. The latest Apple creation, the astonishing new iPhone 4, has some really big issues. The main is certainly the so called “death-grip”: depending on how you hold the phone, it eventually loses signal and drops calls. As Apple said, “X marks the spot”, the spot being the little gap between two external antennas on the outer edge of the new iPhone.
I will try to demonstrate that Apple is avoiding the problem giving void answer and trying to pilot the customers’ and press opinion towards wrong concepts.
